Diversity & Access Office

The Diversity & Access Office ensures University compliance with nondiscrimination and equal opportunity laws. They are also responsible for arranging disability-related accommodations for non-academic purposes, including Stanford-sponsored extracurricular events, accommodations for campus visitors, as well as facility access issues. 

Stanford Learning Lab

The Learning Lab team guides students to develop rewarding, sustainable academic and professional habits by utilizing research-based practices that address all areas of learning. Their specialties include partnering with students with learning differences/disabilities, facilitating transition for frosh and transfer students, and mentoring faculty to integrate universal design principles into their teaching. 

Vaden Health Center

Vaden Health Center

Vaden is your first stop for the diagnosis and treatment of illness, injury, and ongoing conditions, as well as for preventive counseling and education. Their dedicated and professional clinicians provide a full range of care, from screening tests to medical emergencies. Most services are covered for students who have paid the Campus Health Service Fee.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS is the university’s counseling center dedicated to student mental health and well-being. CAPS Specialists work with undergraduate and graduate students to provide individual and group therapy, crisis counseling, and medication assessment. Confidentiality is strictly maintained.

Confidential Support Team (CST)

The CST offers emotional support, consultation and short-term individual counseling to Stanford students impacted by sexual assault and relationship violence. CST staff provide trauma-informed services for students. At CST students can receive confidential support and guidance about their rights and reporting options free of charge.

Financial Aid Office

Financial Aid offers information regarding Stanford University’s aid programs, application process and deadlines. Students are encouraged to consult with Financial Aid if they experience any financial emergencies or hardships as there may be additional resources available.

Academic Advising

Academic Advising provides comprehensive academic guidance across all four years of an undergraduate's time at Stanford. At every juncture, Academic Advisors can help with course selection, choice of major, pre-professional pathways, and research opportunities.

Bechtel International Center

The Bechtel International Center supports all international students and administers international scholarships on behalf of the University. Bechtel students should be aware of and adhere to current regulatory developments as they apply to your student status.

First-Gen and/or Low Income (FLI)

The FLI Office aims to provide holistic support for students. This includes providing them with critical resources, networks, and services that ensure their success. The FLI Office serves First Generation and/or Low-Income students. First Generation students are those who are the first in their families to earn their four-year degree. Low-income students at Stanford are those who choose to identify as such, and we leave it open to students to join the community.

Campus Community Centers

Campus Community Centers, also known as The Centers for Equity, Community, and Leadership (ECL), provide a gateway to intellectual, cultural and leadership opportunities for all Stanford students. Each center has its own mission. Yet students seeking academic enrichment, connection to a broader community, and/or individual services and support will find excellent resources in the Community Centers.

Office of Alcohol Policy and Education

The mission of the Office of Alcohol Policy & Education is to reduce high-risk drinking and its related negative consequences among Stanford students and increase social outlets that support non-drinkers and light drinkers by providing collaborative, cutting-edge, empirically-proven educational strategies and programs.The Cardinal Nights social activities program and 5-SURE safe rides program are housed within OAPE.

Stanford Transportation

Stanford Transportation manages on-campus parking, the Marguerite shuttles, and DisGo. Marguerite is free and open to the public – no ID required. The main shuttle lines traverse the campus Monday through Friday all year (except university holidays). All buses are wheelchair-accessible. DisGo is a complimentary curb-to-curb transportation service for students and faculty with disabilities.

Stanford Ombuds

The Ombuds is an impartial, neutral, and confidential dispute resolver who strives to see that students, faculty, and staff are treated fairly and equitably in their academic and professional lives at Stanford. They can coach and advise, offer options, educate about relevant policies, refer to useful resources within the community, make inquiries, and facilitate difficult conversations.

Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Education (SHARE)

The SHARE is a resource for students, faculty, and staff for all matters related to sexual and relationship violence. SHARE assists students who have experienced these issues and collaborate with members of the campus community to promote the right of students to live, work, and study in a safe and healthy environment.
