Academic Advising provides comprehensive academic guidance across all four years of an undergraduate's time at Stanford. At every juncture, Academic Advisors can help with course selection, choice of major, pre-professional pathways, and research opportunities.

The Bechtel International Center supports all international students and administers international scholarships on behalf of the University. Bechtel students should be aware of and adhere to current regulatory developments as they apply to your student status.

The Diversity & Access Office ensures University compliance with nondiscrimination and equal opportunity laws. They are also responsible for arranging disability-related accommodations for non-academic purposes, including Stanford-sponsored extracurricular events, accommodations for campus visitors, as well as facility access issues.

Campus Community Centers, also known as The Centers for Equity, Community, and Leadership (ECL), provide a gateway to intellectual, cultural and leadership opportunities for all Stanford students. Each center has its own mission. Yet students seeking academic enrichment, connection to a broader community, and/or individual services and support will find excellent resources in the Community Centers.

CTL is the place to go for help in improving study skills, time management, and reading proficiency. The Center provides workshops and counseling on various academic concerns. Learn more about the variety of tutoring and academic support resources available to students.

The CST offers emotional support, consultation and short-term individual counseling to Stanford students impacted by sexual assault and relationship violence. CST staff provide trauma-informed services for students. At CST students can receive confidential support and guidance about their rights and reporting options free of charge.

Access Confidential Support Team (CST)

CAPS is the university’s counseling center dedicated to student mental health and well-being. CAPS Specialists work with undergraduate and graduate students to provide individual and group therapy, crisis counseling, and medication assessment. Confidentiality is strictly maintained.

Financial Aid offers information regarding Stanford University’s aid programs, application process and deadlines. Students are encouraged to consult with Financial Aid if they experience any financial emergencies or hardships, as there may be additional resources available.

The FLISSC Office aims to provide holistic support for students. This includes providing them with critical resources, networks, and services that ensure their success. The FLISSC Office serves First-Gen and/or Low-Income students. First-generation students are those who are the first in their families to earn their four-year degree. Low-income students at Stanford are those who choose to identify as such, and we leave it open to students to join the community. 

Access First-Gen and/or Low-Income Student Success Center (FLISSC)

SUPER provides research-based alcohol and drug prevention education, early intervention services, recovery support and harm reduction programs for the Stanford community via peer educators and professional staff. Our goal is to mitigate high-risk alcohol and other drug usage and their related harms among Stanford students by utilizing health promotion and public health principles through collaborative, cutting-edge, empirically proven educational strategies and outreach programs.

SHARE Title IX and Title VI Office is committed to creating educational programming for a variety of audiences, providing a variety of supportive measures, conducting impartial and trauma-informed investigations of complaints, facilitating informal resolutions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates. We invite all campus community members to increase their awareness, prevent violence where they can, and foster a culture of safety and respect.

The Ombuds is an impartial, neutral, and confidential dispute resolver who strives to see that students, faculty, and staff are treated fairly and equitably in their academic and professional lives at Stanford. They can coach and advise, offer options, educate about relevant policies, refer to useful resources within the community, make inquiries, and facilitate difficult conversations.

Stanford Transportation manages on-campus parking, the Marguerite shuttles, and DisGo. Marguerite is free and open to the public – no ID required. The main shuttle lines traverse the campus Monday through Friday all year (except university holidays). All buses are wheelchair-accessible. DisGo is a complimentary curb-to-curb transportation service for students and faculty with disabilities.

Vaden is your first stop for the diagnosis and treatment of illness, injury, and ongoing conditions, as well as for preventive counseling and education. Their dedicated and professional clinicians provide a full range of care, from screening tests to medical emergencies. Most services are covered for students who have paid the Campus Health Service Fee.
