Cody Jaffe, Ed.M.

Hi! I’m Cody Jaffe (he/him), Disability Adviser at the Office of Accessible Education (OAE). I got my Bachelor’s of Arts in International Affairs & Economics at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and hold a Master’s of Education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University.

I have worked with students with disabilities in higher education since 2017, serving in various roles across different institutions including as a real-time communication-access provider for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, exam proctoring scheduler and coordinator, and coordinator of services for law students before transitioning to Stanford. I’m inspired by the pioneers of the Disability Rights Movement, and was lucky to meet and work with disability activists Judy Heumann, Jim LeBrecht, and Denise Sherer Jacobson during a disability awareness event at UC Berkeley, where I previously worked in disability services. I strive to get to know students’ circumstances and diverse social identities, so that we can work together to identify and reduce barriers to make education accessible.

Outside of work, I love traveling, hiking, playing piano, guitar, and saxophone, and trying new restaurants.
