Beginning January 1, consumers with powered wheelchairs in California will benefit from new legislation that expands access to parts and equipment needed to repair powered wheelchairs classified as Complex Rehab Technology (CRT). This new legislation gives independent repair providers the opportunity to receive parts and access to information and equipment needed to repair powered wheelchairs directly from the manufacturer. The webinar will cover:
- What SB 1384 means for the community, and how it will be implemented in California
- How is "Right to Repair" working in other states?
- Future advocacy goals to increase access to timely repairs for powered wheelchair users
